Elif Ateş Özpak

Elif joined Globalturk Capital as a business partner. Elif is an experienced director with extensive legal, acquisitions, value creation, private equity and exit experience. Her governance experience includes regulated, family company, multi-shareholder, start-up, listed, joint venture boards and private equity investment committees. Elif was educated in France. She is trilingual, fluent in English, French and Turkish.
She is a qualified lawyer and a member of Istanbul Bar Association She studied at Istanbul University Law School (LLB 1992) and Harvard Law School (2000). Elif has worked in different geographies including U.K., Turkey, Eastern Europe and Middle East. She is experienced in different sectors and industries such as energy, telecoms, retail, private equity, big data, banking and insurance. She brings governance, strategy, technology, start-up, risk management experience to projects and boards. Elif has co-founded and currently manages three separate businesses in two countries with full budget, and P&L responsibilities.

She also acted as Turkcell's General Counsel Board Advisor and Corporate Governance Officer between 2001 and 2005. Turkcell is a leading mobile operator listed on NYSE and ISE. Elif was a business partner Pekin & Pekin, a major Turkish law firm.
